Acconomy
Bookkeeping is so painfully dull for small business owners that it can quite literally trigger anxiety. That was the insight behind our concept for Acconomy — an ultra-simple online accounting service — where we leaned into the pain with a tongue-in-cheek approach we called CBT: Cognitive Bookkeeping Therapy.
We created a full campaign including films, print, and digital content — along with a visual identity that captured the emotional weight of bookkeeping dread. Working with acclaimed photography duo Aorta, we art directed a series of striking images that turned accounting anxiety into surreal, expressive visuals.
The concept extended to Acconomy’s website and brand voice, including a support hotline offering pre-recorded, soothing messages for those suffering from "bookkeeping panic attacks." Design, strategy, and tone all worked together to turn pain into personality.
